I’ve missed you and have been concerned. I’m grateful for the update and will continue to pray. I don’t know what was wrong but sensed that something wasn’t right.

OMG- I am 2 weeks out from having a lobectomy and have been ruminating on the same feelings/thoughts. At a time when my career/life were fluorishing, what is the lesson here for me, except to honor and respect the body's innate ability to heal and to give myself the grace to allow for the time and space within which to recover. Thank you!!

Wishing you peace on this healing road! 🙏 I love all the reflections on the little things you've noticed on account of slowing down. May I recommend bird watching? It's become a mindfulness practice for me, and it fills me up so much! I've even signed up for Feeder Watch this year because of it... yay for citizen science!

Oh Emily. I'm so sorry to read this!

But I agree completely about time slowing down when all you can do is wait. I ended up having emergency dental surgery on Monday afternoon, and have struggled not to bite off more than I can chew (if I said no pun intended, I'd be lying) ever since. I tried to go back to the Advil/Tylenol cocktail of pain meds that got me thru the weekend, but that's not happening this soon. It's all about the Tylenol with Codeine for a bit longer. Abscessed teeth are far worse than sinus infections, it turns out. Who knew?
