A note on paywalls on these posts.

I was talking to a friend the other day about *all* that is going on in the world. She had just let go of the majority of her team in 4 countries because they were funded through a USAID grant. We kept going back and forth with the same type of sentiments. “It’s just awful.” “I can’t do anything about it.” “I’m not sure what to do next.” “It makes no sense.”

And, then we both just cried. Multiple times.

I told her one of the hardest part right now is trying to make sense of things that can’t be made sense of. Our logical and rational minds can’t do that. Neither can tender hearts. I’ve thought about this conversation a lot this week and here’s what I’ve found.

*The science posts are always free! These paid posts are always more personal than my regular science ones, like the Neighbor Tuesday posts. If you’re wondering why, here’s an explanation. Not all of you will want the personal musings and I totally understand that. I also include why I give a preview of these posts to everyone. Not as a bait-and-switch! Believe me, that’s about as opposite of me as you can get. It’s simply to let you all know what content is in the paid posts in case it’s something you’re interested in.)
