Remember when I wrote about cardinals nesting in my fern? Click here to read that if you missed it.
They hatched into 4 (hungry) baby birds!
My own kiddos are finishing up school this week. Hall-le-lu-yer! A huge shout-out to you teachers out there during this year! From a personal standpoint, my kid’s teachers made this year “normal” and bearable for my own. And, I’m forever grateful for that. I know you spent countless hours in the evenings and weekends working to make this happen. So, thank you, thank you. Now go enjoy a much-deserved summa (say that like Olaf sings it). It’s summaaaaaa! (Is that song stuck in your head now? Sorry, y’all. At least I didn’t mention baby shark.)
;)
I’m also taking a week (or two) vacation. My human baby-birds are hatching (read-growing up way too fast) and we are all going to rest a bit. I will not be monitoring comments and messages. So, if you see trolls - move on and don’t engage. We have better things to do.
For me, I’m going to sit and watch for these baby birds to learn to fly. And read and cook and breathe a bit. I hope you find time to do so the same.
See you in a week (or twoish),
FNE

Enjoy some time off, and enjoy those kiddos! Thanks for all the wisdom you have shared with us! Blessings!! (Love the bird pics, too!)
We had a nest and baby birds last year. I spent many mornings snuggled in blankets outside listening and watching those hardworking parents feeding their babies. We hoped to see them take flight and watched carefully, but some unfortunate days of rain (real rain, like days of downpours here in Washington) coincided with their flight and we missed it. I'm still amazed they learned to fly in that! Enjoy your time with your babies. Thank you for pouring in to so many. ❤️
