From Lubbock, TX: Just came from local hospital, visiting a friend with a medical emergency. Noticed some Mennonite couples (distinctive dress) in the lobby; one of the women was crying. Partly because of your posts I went over and asked if they were from Seminole, the town currently experiencing measles outbreak. They very hesitantly said they were. I expressed my sorrow over their community’s loss of a 6 year old, and told them I was praying for them and all the children in their community. Their facial expressions changed to ones of relief and they thanked me. Thank you for reminding me to be a good neighbor.
