Such great news! (Sorry, but I just wanted to read this too badly to wait for your polished post.) Do you have any idea when this will be available for kids 12 and up?

There are many more publications on Pfizer’s vaccine vs. J&J—and, it is not FDA approved. Also, there is no real booster information on J&J vaccine at this time. I agree there are still unknowns about all 3 vaccines. As for me, I choose the Pfizer vaccine.

So grateful for this information. I first recieved the 2 Moderna in March and April. I take Rituxan (chemo drug) for rheumatoid arthritis. I heard Dr. Stephanie Ryan on NPR. She is an ER doc on Rituxan. She stated that because of the Rituxan she doesn't have any coverage. I went and had an antibodies test 6-29-21 (SARS-COV2 SPIKE TOTAL ANTIBODY). The results were NONREACTIVE. Covid-19 IgG IV 0.2 IV ref interval 0.7 index or less Negative. I went and got a J&J vaccine on 7-21-21. Was this a good or a bad idea? Should I have another antibody test?

What about people who are already at 8 months? I got my J&J vaccination in their trial in late November 2020 and so was at 8 months in late July. I know that is the longest data they have and hopefully the protection will continue past that time.

Did you find it surprising that J&J works better against Delta than Beta? My understanding was that Beta is the worst variant of concern in terms of reducing antibody efficacy, and that Delta is dominant more because it spreads much faster than because it's evading immunity better. Though having high viral loads (as Delta does) is its own way to bypass immunity, even if the antibody match is still pretty good.
