I pray while I run too! My prayers are that people would want to be part of community again- that we could all see that our immunization is helping to sustain our community. We are stronger together. 💞
So good!! Thank you so much for this sound Biblical point of view. I have been saying since the beginning, what happened to "Love thy neighbor"? Thank again for always putting this all in an eternal perspective.
Great article that I plan to share with a loved one but, based on prior discussions, I can predict that they will counter with, "I've already had COVID (a year ago) so I don't need the vaccine, nor do the millions of others in the same position." Do you have any articles or advice for a response to that?
Thank you. This is such a timely reminder in light of the Supreme Court’s decision to allow vaccines mandates without religious exemptions to stand. Those asking for “religious” exemptions —for COVID vaccinations only—are actually saying “my body, my choice.” That is basically a political position, not a religious one. Fake religious exemptions are people crying “wolf,” and society is not going to take Christians like this seriously. Many outside the church walls see the anti-vax selfishness (and gullibility) clearly for what it is. They should know we are Christians by our love, not our politics.
Hi Emily! Thank you again for expressing such a scientifically and biblically sound point of view. I have a pdf (open letter to the president of our local university from a tenured professor of immunolgoy) that I would love your insights on. Is there a way I can send it to you privately? I think the science is well-founded, so I'm not sure how to receive his viewpoints and concerns about the vaccine. Would love your expert opinion! Thank you!
My question deals with a vaccinated friend who believes that based on Matt 22:36-40 ( 2nd greatest commandment), his unvaccinated friends must get vaccinated if they love him. Should they not, get vaccinated they're rebelling against God's Word. I agree with you that the least of those applies to someone like me, 90 with diabetes. However, my friend is basing his concept on Mark 4:11-12, which in my thinking, he is deciding who should receive grace. He, in no way, can make such a decision without examining, 'Is the individual among the least?'

I forgot to add to my previous comment, is which is the greater good and the lesser evil.'
