You shouldn’t be writing without anger. That money belongs to the American people and it is was allocated for those purposes, via Congress. Elon Musk is just one of 335 million Americans, unelected, unvetted. He had no right to do anything with that money. Frankly, neither did the president. This is nothing short of a heist. I don’t know how but someone needs to stop him.
Thank you for continuing to write. I'm trying hard not to write with anger as well. Last week, I was struck by Proverbs 3:21 (HSCB) Maintain your competence and discretion. This is definitely a season to be willing to speak up while also remaining credible sources.
Emily, you have every right to be angry and outraged.
I applaud what you’re trying to do for us here on FNE.
At the same time, we all need to hear the outrage and anger from our heroes in the trenches—those fighting the good fight.
Consider adding a "Bottom Line" or "Concluding Thoughts" section (like Robert Hubble does on his Substack). Give yourself a space to vent, rant, and express your anger. It will only make the calm, carefully researched reporting at the core of your post even more impactful for your followers.
Thank you, as always Emily. I knew this was bad, but my heart was breaking as I read the massive impact this has. We are all interconnected. I'm so angry and so sad. I'm trying to do one thing each day. So far this week it's been calling my Congresswoman and Senators daily, thanking them, and telling them to fight and fight hard. Thank you for the reminder that "part of resisting is not giving into the chaos and anxiety and horror of what’s happening. But, to rise above it one day at a time." One day, one step at a time.

Thank you for all that you do.
Well written, our hearts (& minds) bleed with you. I have to remind myself how GOD is in control, even in the midst of this swamp.
Proverbs 21:1 shares: '“The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.”
Your book is unique, soo smart, and identifiable, especially your enthusiasm, selfies, stats, and HEART. Bless you Dr. Smith!
